Admin BuckeyeGal Posted March 5, 2022 Admin Posted March 5, 2022 This potential storm has been on the horizon for awhile, now, and as no one jumped on creating a thread for it, I'm going to, lol. It has appeared in various forms (to my amateur eyes), from hybrid cutters, to frontal passages, and I think I even saw one deviation where it looked like a Miller of some sort (with a transfer to the coast). Let's see how it develops. 🙂 Ladies and gentlemen, I give you The Final Countdown for winter weather. (Maybe. Possibly. You never know, especially in Ohio, lol.) 2 1

easton229 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 After the 60 degrees the past couple days, I can say I am officially done with winter. Unfortunately I know winter isn’t done with me yet. 4
MesoscaleBanding Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 12z Canadian tracks from Dallas to Buffalo 1
junior Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Here we go tracking snow that’ll last a day or so this late in the season. 😇 1
MesoscaleBanding Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Give me a GFS/EURO 'split the difference' solution & I'll be a happy camper. 2

Moderators Hiramite Posted March 6, 2022 Moderators Posted March 6, 2022 I took my plow off the 4-wheeler today so I don’t know it that affects things. (It would have to be a whopper this time of year to justify plowing.) 1 1
cperry29 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 This warm weather has been nice. I could care less if it snows or not but one last storm for the season would be fun. Who’d have thought we’d start out the season on Wxdisco and end up on Wxsphere 😂 1

Organicforecasting Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 LSX isn't taking the bait enough to say beyond "precipitation"... Quote .LONG TERM... (Monday Night through Saturday) Issued at 302 AM CST Sun Mar 6 2022 A surface high and westerly flow aloft will help keep the region dry during the mid-week period. A slow warming trend will kick off after Monday`s cool temperatures. By mid-week a long wave trough will begin to dig into the western CONUS, the axis of which will swing into the central CONUS by the end of the work week. The next chance of precipitation will come in association with this trough and a surface low moving through the region. Temperatures will cool once more below normal for the weekend behind this end of work week system.
junior Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 (edited) 18z GFS took a step towards the Euro this time around. Still no clear consensus as usual. Lol this outcome would be very nice for us though. Edited March 6, 2022 by junior 2 1
