Looking out into early/mid March, there are strong signals in the ensembles (GFS, Euro and CMC - multiple runs) for many rounds of moisture to be moving through the midwest / ohio valley.

A lot of rain south of say 42° latitude, probably mix situations between 42-45° latitude and mostly snow north of 45° latitude.

Get your buckets ready... its going to be a wet 6-10 day period

I approve of this post! Hopefully @Ingyball gets a crapton of rain out of it, and we can get one last decent snowfall before spring and the thunderboomers set in.

We're holding out hope here. Unfortunately any storm that dumps rain on me will likely be warm for y'all unless there's a second wave (which the models are hinting at.)

I'll take warmth if it gives you much-needed wet.

If I'm correlating the colors right, looks like 3-4" of rain in one day for the IL/MO/KY tri-state area. Not ideal to add to the already-saturated soil in early March.

I'm still holding out hope for one decent snowstorm here; it really ain't over here until, say, early April.

Latest GFS wants to grant you that wish next Friday:

Early next week would even be a good hit for central MI too on that run:

Somehow it still has my interest. Expectations are set very low though lol

Figured I would make a thread for this since it's showing up on almost all models.

Even I-80 folks might have a shot at a mix/some snow depending on where this ends up.

Big rains to the south.

Well then the 6z GFS decides to give me a nice round of snow with this system. I'd prefer rain, but at this point I'll take the QPF whatever way I can get it.

You know what literally this morning I thought to myself we’ve really dried out over the last week but I see we’re gearing up again
