A surface low will interact with the stalled cold front, pushing it northward toward the Ohio River Valley going into Thursday. Additional chances for precipitation look possible here. The precipitation type this go around looks to be snow for most. There are still differences in the timing and track of the low, but ensemble guidance continues to suggest we could see a few inches of accumulating snow across most of the area from this system. However, the potential does exist for a wintry mix of freezing rain and/or sleet across far southeast Illinois. Details will be sorted out in the coming days once confidence on the track increases. Potential for heavy sleet and/or zr here based on model consensus with most/all snow not too far North.
