I know that others have referenced the mid month period as holding promise.  So I figure it's time to create a placeholder for information related to said possibility.

Ensembles showing a decent +PNA, -EPO set up.

Would like to see that vortex a bit further south over Hudson Bay, but we are out pretty far in model world.

This is the time period I’ve been interested in, but I’m not a LR wizard didn’t think I should open the threat, thanks MJ.

Last I checked we had quite a few teles lining up around this time frame. Will check later tonight.

Big Aleutian low is going to exert it's influence over NOAM. Should spit out it's share of shortwaves.  Can we get some sort of a western ridge, to get one (or two) to dive down into an the eastern CONUS?

I do see a deranged smile in there.

Looks like some good opportunities for sure! Should link up with the front end of the pattern change to colder weather. floop-gfs-2024020206.prateptype_cat-imp.conus.gif.e54015d3317f326f9d26391147effbac.gif

I've seen this quite a bit this winter.  In the center of the nation, there is more snow and as each system hits the east coast, seems to lighten up.  Storms are breaking apart just before or just as it reaches Long island.

That High from Canada is spoiling things with bringing dry air down at the wrong time

I'd settle for even some digital snow at this point.  Models have been boring.

Digital snow, digital boobs, digital LSD, this forum just about has it all.

That @MaineJay ..Always sniffing out the good potentials lol 🙄😂

Others had pointed out this time frame.  Without any other threats, I didn't want any discussion fragmented.   I deserve none of credit.

Ensembles.  It appears the EPS might be a little faster, but also more widely dispersed.  GEFS seem slower, and might not be capturing the real spread, but do show a faster camp in there I'd reckon.
