Well, I may as well curse this time period by opening a topic for this potential snow event.  Hoping for anything we can get... 3 model images below

I like this setup, its sorta similar to the previous system but may be a bit better off. Biggest concern is suppression, again.

I don’t think this gets suppressed ..the arctic air laxes just enough to get something going before it strengthens again

I've been getting so 'ugh' about the whiff of a storm for Monday-Tuesday that I just exit out of the models and refuse to look ahead, lol. But maybe this one will work. 🙂

I get that!  This is why I am not even bothering with any snow totals or anything.  Just posting the systems themselves.  If they remain in existence at about 3 days then I will pay more heed to amounts of whatever falls.

From the ILN AFD

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
A prolonged stretch of below normal temperatures is expected through
the long term. Sub zero wind chill values are expected Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings.

A weak system will move through Monday late afternoon into Monday
night. There is quite a bit of model variability with this system
and limited moisture therefore limited precipitation chances to the
chance category.

Another system will move through Thursday into Friday bringing
primarily snow to the region. There will be the potential for
accumulating snow with this system. With favorable winds off the
lake will keep some snow shower activity across the region into
Saturday.

I’ll be peeking into this but not gonna get sucked in a week out again. Just glances to see what’s happening.

Sound idea. 👍

Cool - we're in the Day 5 bullseye again. Let me add that to my 30" total of day 5 digital snow so far this season.

Seriously though - at some point, we're gonna get one. Let's hope this is the one.
