Winter forecasting looking to be a crapshoot this year. Just buy some darts, dartboard, and print out some blank U.S maps. 50/50. 

At least some cold air to work with during the timeframe.

The euro has a potential big snowstorm in the making towards the end of its run for this time period with plenty of bitter cold to work with

This one may be sneaky, There's a pretty healthy temperature gradient out ahead of it that may help amplify it more than the models are showing.
