MesoscaleBanding Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) This system has been showing up on major models for a while. The setup seems ripe for something to happen. Just feels like this could be 'the one' for some in our region. Away we go!... Edited January 12 by MesoscaleBanding 2 1 3
Admin BuckeyeGal Posted January 10 Admin Posted January 10 I just said that @Ohiobuckeye45 needed to start this thread.. and look, you did it instead! 😄 1

SNOWBOB11 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) I like the set up. It looks like a slight moderation in temperature during this time frame won’t let it to go too far east but with the cold and snow cover in place in areas it should keep it from tracking as a cutter either. Some areas might get into WAA issues but those details can be worried about later. Edited January 10 by SNOWBOB11 1

MesoscaleBanding Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Never quite got to beast-mode in our region, but it was close & still produces some good snows. The possibilities look tasty though!
MesoscaleBanding Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 On & off waves of snowfall for ~36+ hours on that run... 1
Ohiobuckeye45 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) the CMC doesnt interact much with the cold air which doesnt have as big of a push south as the GFS, until after the storm Edited January 10 by Ohiobuckeye45

Jpfalcon Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I'm ready to get my hopes unrealistically high, only to have them crushed into oblivion with this one. 1 2 1

Gotcha because right as you made your post the EURO looked good down south, and I had same thought as you but it didn't turn out like I had hoped. But still loooong way away. 1
Ohiobuckeye45 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 not what east coasters would want to see, but yes the SE ridge has arrived (or will be) 1
