Fortunately it doesn’t look like the winds will be very high around here which should help limit damage, but I would still expect a lot of it with near an inch of ice.

GFS shifted south again and now it is sleet fest 2023 in my area. Much better than an inch of freezing rain. Another 50 mile shift south and I could be looking at serious snow. LR NAM isn’t as heavy overall on the icing, showing about .25-.5. GFS still very bullish with nearly 2” of ice in spots 😳 Talk about a historic ice storm if that verifies.

Either way somebody is getting a nasty icestorm out of thisimage.thumb.png.78dea2f236abc4ac075eaca1e52f03ad.png

I've been smack-dab in the middle of some of the heaviest freezing rain consistently run-over-run. Glad I work from home full-time.

You folks north of the 43rd parallel have a great looking future in the snowfall dept.

Man I am ready for spring. Can’t get any snow if you don’t live in Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, or northern Michigan this year.

Seems like the trend for much of my adult life!

Team NAM. Push a little further north and I can stay all rain. Unless it would like to go 50-75 miles south of what the GFS has so I can get a big snow. Either way, keep all that ice away.

No matter what team you -or anyone- is on, it is time to prepare for the worst and pray for the best.

No interest at all in an ice storm.

At least it appears ATM that we may skirt with just rain. I'd like to keep only rain.
