Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 This supercell is right on the warm front. Concerning that this system has already produced such an intense supercell but it is near peak heating. This is gonna be a long day so hopefully this is the peak.
Iceresistance Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 Tornado Emergency for SE Harris County 1
Iceresistance Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 I think the tornado may have lifted, but I can't be too sure of it.
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 Squall/warm sector cells phase is in full effect. It'll be interesting to see which dominates more... embedded supercells or warm sector supercells. Probably the former.
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 Snowing again here. Big system. Another confirmed tornado in extreme SE TX
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 Another confirmed tornado. The squall is basically just tornado warnings now.
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 First warm sector tornado warning
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) Interesting progression here for an embedded supercell Edited January 24, 2023 by ClicheVortex2014 1
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 24, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 24, 2023 Definitely turned into a more classic, obvious supercell.

ElectricStorm Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Tornado warning for Mobile, hopefully nothing touches down
ElectricStorm Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 (edited) Mobile cell really tightening up now Edit: seems to be short lived Edited January 25, 2023 by OKwx_2001 1
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 25, 2023 Meteorologist Posted January 25, 2023 (edited) The Deer Park tornado has been preliminarily rated at least EF2. Turns out that was the first tornado emergency NWS Houston has ever issued. 23 tornado reports so far. This April-like January continues... though today will certainly be the last severe weather day of January 2023. Edited January 25, 2023 by ClicheVortex2014
