  1. SPC maintained slight risk with the 1st 2 day outlook but mentioned possibility of a corridor with greater threat with potential for strong tornado.
  2. It's been pretty quiet here for a while. Very dry since summer with exceptional drought conditions, but did get over an inch of rainfall late last week. Haven't heard thunder since September. Looking like Monday has potential to be an active day for central LA (under slight risk right now). HRRR 00z run for Monday afternoon at 3 PM.
  3. Yesterday got more active than expected in Louisiana, especially the northern half of the state. EF-1 tornado just confirmed in the parish north of Alexandria. A couple of others confirmed around Shreveport. I hardly got any rain from storms yesterday, but heard a lot of thunder as storm was developing to my west and traveled above me. This was northwest of Alexandria yesterday morning.
  4. Storms past me now. Got an intense tstorm here a little while ago with multiple close range lightning strikes. Didn’t notice any hail. Here’s a pic of the sky looking northeast. https://imgur.com/a/Ia0RyAh
  5. If they stay moving the same direction, looks like I may be in the gap between the two.
  6. Reed Timmer is headed to central LA... Looks like warm front is to my south right now. Not sure how for north it will lift.
  7. I don’t recall one either here before. Tornado watch just issued. Awaiting the details on it.
  8. Got this pic at 5:45. Nothing too noteworthy here. https://imgur.com/a/05bkEx8
  9. May not warm up too much here Tuesday as it looks like the warm sector may stay to my south. Could get some heavy rainfall regardless.
  10. Heard report of structural damage between Woodworth and Forest Hill south of Alexandria. Storm wasn’t tornado warned at the time.
  11. Haven't had much locally this afternoon, but watching some cells to my south that look to be heading my way.
  12. Looking like things could get rough tomorrow in my neck of the woods. Almost exactly three years ago a long track tornado went across central Louisiana ending up going across the northern outskirts of Alexandria. Tornado tracked about half a mile from where I work (I was away from work at the time but co-workers saw debris in the air). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tornado_outbreak_of_December_16–17,_2019#DeRidder_–_Rosepine_–_Alexandria_–_Pineville,_Louisiana
  13. Sigtor values not looking quite as high as the Nov 29 event (at least when compared to two days before event unfolding). 45 near my area around midnight Tues night. Larger 45 sigtor zone for SE LA and S MS Wednesday afternoon.
  14. The parishes under NWS Lake Charles have been dropped from the PDS tornado watch (including Alexandria). Nothing too eventful locally this afternoon but may get storms this evening.
